Production post
I’m Rick Tunell, the Co-Producer/Unit Production Manager on Jericho. I try to both manage the studio’s money while giving Dan, Karim, and the writers everything they want in the story. From the beginning, this was easier on Jericho than most shows because everyone wants to serve the show. Egos don’t get in the way on Jericho.
My most memorable Jericho moment was on the pilot when we were shooting the scene where Woody is on the roof watching the mushroom cloud. This was an iconic moment and I think everybody on the set was aware we were on to something special. I had to know what was going to happen to these characters. Whatever happened to little Woody?
Jericho is not the usual legal/medical/police show, although it has those elements. It’s also a western, a science fiction show, a family drama, and more. There is nothing else like it on television, but you already know that. Thanks to Jon Steinberg for thinking of this story, I couldn’t be happier here. I am reading the outline for ep 6, wow! They have threatened to take away my internet privileges if I reveal anything.
On Jericho, we are all fans. Thank you so much for Season 2.
