From Executive Producer Jon Turteltaub
To Our Fans: This is Jon Turteltaub, Executive Producer, and I’m finally posting after all that has happened. Like everyone else, I have been completely overwhelmed and impressed with the campaign you led to save the show. It wasn’t just your passion, but your persistence that paid off. Last summer, I got a call from CBS saying they were being overrun with emails, phone calls, and...

Seats and Tray Tables in Full Upright Position...
Bringing the second season of the show in for a landing. Lots of writers and actors and random people i’ve never met before in the writers’ room here. But there’s pizza and beer and Lennie’s ridiculous accent, so it’s as good a way to end this season as any.
Here’s me, my wife, Rebecca, and some guy who wandered in off the street. He seems funny and willing...
Last Night With The Hawk
Hey friends and the family Jericho,
Lennie James here on the set of Jericho on our last night of filming. It’s a great night of filming around our goodbyes and fun in the writers room. These 7 episodes have been a blessing, a blast…a gift. I’m still in awe of what you guys achieved. Whatever happens…these last few short months have been goodtimes.
I’ve a few thank...
The Last Night...
Hey everyone! Steve Scaia reporting to you LIVE from the final night of production here at Jericho…it’s bittersweet, and sad, and slightly salty…it’s like a chocolate covered pretzel, really…only less chocolately, but I digress.
As we finish shooting the final scene (it’s awesome, but I can’t say anything more than that) the writers and some very special...
Putting it all together...
So I’m an assistant editor here on Jericho and I’m in the fortunate position of being able to see all the episodes in their various stages before they air. So, speaking from that perspective, the fans of Jericho are in for quite the ride-and rightly so. Today is day four of production on episode seven and I gotta say I can’t wait to see this one cut together. The raw...
Tales from JERICHO SEASON 2's Second Team
I guess I will start with my name, John A. Dalton. I am a “Stand-in” or “Second Teamer” on JERICHO (both seasons.) What is a “Stand-in” and what do you do; you may ask, like my family? A “Stand-in” is basically an understudy for the Actors. Whenever an actor is unavailable and they are needed on set, a stand-in fills in for them. This is mostly...
Hey everybody!
It’s the last shooting day of episode 6, written by my writing partner Stephen Scaia, our awesome boss Carol Barbee, and myself. It’s been another great experience in a long line of great experiences—made even better by our director, Scott Peters. Contrary to some blog reports, Scott will not be bringing aliens to Jericho. Also, as of this writing, there’s not a...
The First Sound Mix
Dan Shotz and I are at the sound mix for the season opener, “Reconstruction.” At the moment, we’re playing with the levels of music and sound effects in the teaser. This may be the loudest teaser we’ve ever had and it’s all kinds of awesome. Dan and I keep asking them to turn it up! We won’t be happy until your tv speakers blow out. Co-Producer Keira...
Saturday Re-Run Trivia - Final Answers
Okay, Trivia junkies, here are the answers to the three re-run trivia questions from Saturday. Question #1: Which three actors in Jericho also appeared on the HBO series “Deadwood?” Answer: “Deadwood” shared three cast members with “Jericho” last season. Gerald McRaney, Timothy Omundson, and Titus Welliver. Question #2: What do the 21 stars and the vertical...
Friday/Saturday Re-Run Trivia - Finale Edition
Hey all, So we’ve reached the end of our re-run broadcast, and to commemorate that milestone (as well as to make up for our negligence this week and last), we’re holding a special edition of Friday/Saturday Re-Run Trivia, with not one, not two, but three questions. Watch “Why We Fight” - tonight at 8 pm. Remember to post your guesses on this thread at the Jericho...
More behind the scenes with Loomer!
Good Morning Rangers,
Today is the first day of shooting on episode 6; this episode is being directed by Scott Peters. This is Scott’s first episode of Jericho but his resume includes being the creator of “The 4400.” Scott is really jumping in with both feet and is making great TV.
We received really great feedback on the interview with Matt Sigloch so Karim asked me to...
Hello to Jericho fans...
Greetings from JERICHO production. All is going well… we’re into shooting our 5th episode of the second season, and all is going very well. I truly believe you will all be very happy and creatively fulfilled with the stories we are producing and the production values we are maintaining, despite the 7 day shooting schedule. I’m very proud of the writing and production team...
The military expertise on Jericho...
Hello Rangers, It’s Loomer, your On-set Dresser, checking in again. I just wanted to thank you all for your continued support. We have been watching the message boards and participating in the chat rooms and have noticed the continued anticipation for season 2. Keep up the good work on getting new viewers and don’t forget to start laying plans to have Jericho viewing parties in...
Update Time
Hey fans-So we’ve passed the one-month-left mark. Can you believe it? In less than four weeks, we will have wrapped production. Time flies when you’re making TV, but these weeks went especially fast, I have to say. The good news is, we came up with some great story ideas for episode 7 today, at which point Carol asked for a time-out to, quote, “acknowledge the awesomeness”...
Trivia Answer
Hey all- So, Friday we asked you to name other films and television shows that have featured the Vernon, CA factory that stood in for the New Bern windmill/munitions factory in episode 19 “Casus Belli.” One of you guessed “24,” which is correct! The factory was also used in “Mission: Impossible III” and on the short-lived Andy Richter series “Andy Barker,...

Production post
I’m Rick Tunell, the Co-Producer/Unit Production Manager on Jericho. I try to both manage the studio’s money while giving Dan, Karim, and the writers everything they want in the story. From the beginning, this was easier on Jericho than most shows because everyone wants to serve the show. Egos don’t get in the way on Jericho. My most memorable Jericho moment was on the pilot...
The Magic of Visual Effects
Hey guys,
Post-production here again and today we are talking Visual Effects. Visual Effects or VFX enhances what has been shot or creates what is not possible to shoot practically. A VFX shot can be something as simple as removing a palm tree from the background to something as complicated as creating a mushroom cloud. No, we did not actually detonate a nuclear bomb for the show. Last...
Back in Jericho
Hey everybody, Its Brad Beyer coming to you from the set of jericho. I can’t thank all the fans enough for bringing us back, all of you did a great job and we are all so greatful. Since starting the new season there have been some real interesting developments in the story, none of which I am able to divulge! Guess you’ll have to make sure you watch!!! Brought my parents by set a...
More Four
Fans- Back with another update from the “Jericho” set. We’re now five days in to shooting episode 4. It’s hard to write about the shoot because I constantly run up against some major league spoilers (you’ll thank me later for keeping them to myself). But I can tell you that Candace Bailey made her return to the show today, reprising her role as Skylar Stevens! We...
Inside Richmond Farm
Hey all- Shot more scenes for episode 4 out at Blue Sky Ranch yesterday, which Loomer evoked so perfectly in his post just now. Thought I’d take the opportunity to give you a little “behind-the-curtain” glimpse of the Richmond Farm House Set (don’t read this if you don’t want the illusion spoiled). So, you can see in the first photo above that from the outside, the...
Hey Rangers,
Monday morning on the set and we are in the last shooting day of episode 3, which is being directed by John Peters. I can’t tell you much about today’s work because it all takes place on sets you haven’t seen before. However, Shoshannah Stern (Bonnie Richmond) is working today, and she brings a whole different kind of positive energy to the set. Shoshannah always...
On to Four
Hey “Jericho” Fans-
So we began shooting on episode 4 of the second season yesterday. Our director is the awesome and talented Steve Gomer, who directed the episode “Heart of Winter” from our first season. We shot scenes between Esai Morales and Lennie James, Sprague Grayden and Esai, Skeet Ulrich and Sprague (settle down, everyone), and Skeet and Richard Speight (no...
One day before history was made
Hello all. My name is Jason, and I work in the Jericho Production office. I have been in this office for over a year, every day. It is quite possible that I talked to some of you on the phone as you called looking to voice your displeasure with our show being cancelled. That was fun for me. Anyway, I wanted to write about my experience on the show, and give you all a little insight into what it is...
Answer to Friday's trivia

Wow - great guesses on the boards! Everyone from April Green
(tombstone), to Jimmy (Bob appeared in a commercial in some markets) to the image of “The Buyer”, Karim...
